Finornic Chemicals (I) Pvt. Ltd. was founded in the year 1991. The company was formed by Doongarshi R Shah to manufacture a line of products for the Nylon Tire Cord industry, which were otherwise being imported into India from Germany and Japan. On the base of past successes, the Company also started offering various heterocyclic chemicals and their derivatives to the pharmaceutical industry and a range of rubber chemicals (antioxidants) to Europe. Today, the company is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of 2-mercapto benzimidazole and its derivatives in the country.
